Impressive Art Deco desk in noble rosewood and black piano lacquer - all parts including glass and locks are original and in very good condition. The entire desk has been restored and polished by hand to a high gloss - a fantastic piece of history that impresses with its appearance alone. The desk was purchased from a studio in the Villa des Arts in Paris - famous artists such as Eugène Carrière, Paul Cézanne, Auguste Renoir, Paul Signac, Louis Marcoussis, Francis Picabia, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Jean and Raoul Dufy have worked in the studios used to and worked. Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Paul Éluard, André Breton, Joan Miro, Gertrude Stein and others came to visit.
